Installation Technician Role and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of an Installation Technician include:

• Understanding the safety features of machines and tooling to ensure their safe operation without compromising safety systems.
• Adhering to safety protocols, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, flame-resistant (FR) clothing, protective masks, and safety-toed footwear.
• Respecting and safeguarding Swanton Welding's and third-party property, such as tools, vehicles, facilities, and equipment, along with protecting business activities.
• Planning the details of work order procedures, gathering necessary tools and materials based on provided instructions and specifications.
• Demonstrating the ability to read blueprints and understand a set of work instructions.
• Operating drills, air tools, power tools, and cranes to install truck beds and axles.
• Visually inspecting quality and using other quality inspection equipment to confirm compliance with part specifications.
• Maintaining, organizing, and keeping equipment and work areas clean.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.
• Conducting oneself in a manner that promotes a positive image of Swanton Welding and adheres to the company's code of conduct.
